Author Bio for Moore, Pamela:
Pamela Moore was born on September 22, 1937. Her one successful novel Chocolates for Breakfast is a dysfunctional coming-of-age story filled with a young woman’s experiences with and musings on intimacy, gender roles, alcohol, and suicide. Its notoriety at its publication stemmed from its subject matter, the author’s age when she wrote it (eighteen), and the time when she wrote it (the 1950s). The author committed suicide with a gun on June 7, 1964, when she was 26.
